Terms of Use - Secure Trips

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Secure Trips ("we", "our", or "the App"), a personal expedition safety and trail tracking service developed and operated by Mandav Consultancy. By creating an account, downloading, or using Secure Trips, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use the application.

2. Account Creation & Responsibilities

Account Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use Secure Trips.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Accurate Data: You agree to provide accurate and complete account information during registration.

3. Expedition & Location Tracking Services

Secure Trips provides real-time location logging, trail telemetry, and safety monitoring during active expeditions.

Active Trip Tracking: GPS and background location data are recorded only when you start an active trip. You maintain full control over starting, pausing, and stopping trip recordings.

Telemetry Data: Battery levels, elevation, and speed telemetry are synced to enable safety protocols.
Offline Caching: Trail data is saved locally on your device when connection is lost and synced upon reconnection.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

When using Secure Trips, you agree NOT to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose or illegal activity.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or system infrastructure.
Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful telemetry data.
Trigger false SOS alerts or misuse emergency broadcast signals.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, titles, and interests in and to the Secure Trips application (including code, design, graphics, and logos) are the exclusive property of Mandav Consultancy.

You retain full ownership of your user-generated content, including photos, trail notes, and trip logs.

6. Emergency Services & Safety Disclaimer

Important Safety Notice: Secure Trips is designed as an auxiliary expedition tracking and safety tool. It is not a replacement for professional search and rescue services, official emergency beacons (PLBs), or proper backcountry navigation equipment. Location updates depend on GPS availability and cellular networks.

7. Termination of Use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Secure Trips at any time if you breach these Terms of Use. You may also delete your account and all associated trip data at any time through the app settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mandav Consultancy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the application during outdoor activities or expeditions.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Secure Trips after changes constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
